Overview
The Woods 1855 is a front-mount mower farm tractor produced between 1987 and 1988 by Grasshopper and distributed by Woods. It features an 18 hp Kohler 2-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a hydrostatic transmission and an open operator station.
Ideal Applications
Powertrain and Drive Configuration:
Equipped with a 691cc Kohler M18QS air-cooled horizontal-shaft engine and a two-wheel drive hydrostatic transmission providing infinite forward and reverse gears.
Mowing and Attachment Capabilities:
Configured to operate 44-inch, 52-inch, or 61-inch front-mount mower decks, along with snowblower and blade attachments through an independent front PTO with an electric clutch.
Electrical and Steering Systems:
The tractor utilizes a 12-volt negative ground electrical system with a 3-amp charging circuit and features power steering for operator control.
